Methadone $: 0
I was on meth for over 15 years back in the 1980's, early 90's. At the time I was a full blown junkie using anything I could get. After awhile I realized that NOTHING gave me a buzz, even my 100 MG dose. I went into experimental treatment using Bupe injections and after being extremely ill for months, got clean and stayed clean 10 years via NA.
I ended up relapsing on Oxys and now I am on Sub. I used to love Sub but after 2 years the love is gone. Basically I miss the warm fuzzy feeling of opiates! I can go on meth for pain management, no clinic etc. but I wonder if after a couple years I will REALLY REGRET it. After all methadone is a killer to kick compared to Sub even though I plan on lifetime maintenance.
Any input is greatly appreciated

Hi dude, good to hear from you. Methadone is not supposed to give you a buzz, Its supposed to stop your cravings and keep you from being sick with withdrawels. Whether you choose suboxone or methadone, its only gonna work if you want it to. If your ready to tell yourself your done with opiates and thats that. From the sound of your post, you are telling yourself that you miss opiates and want that buzz badly from them that you used to have. Thats not the way to think. We all miss it, but the ones who put they're foot down and say "I'm not using anymore" are the ones who stay clean. You don't sound like you really want to be clean. It all starts with yourself... peace
