This holiday may be the first in years that i will not use, i count my blessings that i found the clinic I go to. I would be in a mess of trouble if I had not discovered Methadone as a treatment for me. Trouble meaning financially, and certainly health issues. The amount of money I spend for my daily doses is a drop in the bucket compared to what we would spend daily on dope to keep from getting sick.

I see that there is not much activity here but I hope that changes, I would like to use this forum to just talk about whatever in hopes that this will help in staying sober. Happy Holidays.

It's great to hear your doing well and doing better with your finances and health.

I was just talking to someone the other day that I'd known for many years and was amazed to find out she didn't support methadone. She said she thought methadone was supporting drug use.

My reply was something like, Methadone works, assists in keeping families together as well as off the streets and for some folks it helps them to maintain a much more stable and financially better life. Why would anyone want to say methadone is bad?

I think we all can say that without the clininics we all bitch so much about we would all be having yet another bummer christmas.Isnt it funny how the dope man takes christmas off most of the time?How dare them!!!!!LmaoSeriously folks we are all blessed to be alive and on methadone and doing everything we can to lead productive lives.Well I am and have been now for almost 4 yrs.

I was on dope for 6 yes before i went to a clinic and my life changed 100%.My family Dr and my parents were not to happy for me going there.After they seen how it changed me they ALL thought different about the program.Alot of people judge to quickly and dont know the benefits.As long as we know what it is doing for us then that"s what matters.GOOD LUCK!
