Hi everyone, I just found this forum and have been reading through all the posts. Some good info. I have been in treatment for about 2 months my dose is 90 m still not stable though, still having cravings and can still feel effects of opiods, so yes i have relapsed. It is a daily struggle or should i say hourlly I hope tomorrow my increase will be in to see if that helps. Plan on returning to this forum looking for a support system hope to get to know some of you. Question what is Methadone $ by our profiles? Take care all.

HI EVERYONE, I JUST JOINED THIS FORUM. I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR A PLACE TO COME AND CHAT WITH OTHER METHADONE PATIENTS. I AM A 33 YEAR OLD MALE FROM MASSACHUSETTS. I HAVE BEEN IN A METHADONE PROGRAM FOR 11 MONTHS. IT HAS TRUELY SAVED MY LIFE. I QUIT COLD TURKEY THE FIRST DAY I STARTED AT THE CLINIC AND HAVE NOT RELAPSED, NOT EVEN ONCE.. IT WAS HELL BUT I WAS VERY SERIOUS ABOUT QUITTING SO I JUST MADE MYSELF DO IT. I AM ON 130 MG OF METHADONE A DAY. I FEEL AWESOME AND AM GETTING A NORMAL LIFE BACK. I WAS USING OPIATES FOR 7 YEARS. STARTED WITH PERCOCET AND VIC'S. THEN AT THE END I WAS SNORTING 5-8 OXY 80'S A DAY AND MIXING IT WITH XANAX. I SPENT OVER 50,000 ON CREDIT CARDS AND WILL BE IN DEBT FOREVER.
I DON'T WORRY ABOUT THAT STUFF THOUGH. I'M JUST HAPPY I FOUND THE METHADONE CLINIC I GO TO AND I AM GRATEFUL TO HAVE MY LIFE BACK. ITS GREAT TO NOT SPEND EVERY WAKING SECOND LOOKING FOR PILLS. METHADONE WORKS WONDERS...

new to life....continue to go up untill your cravings stop and stay stopped at least 24 hrs then you can start seeing about beginning to get stabalized.This all take time,please dont expext and overr night cure.Pleas stay tough you can and will get better,I am living proof

Thanks for the tips, Everyday seems better than the day before. I'm feeling stronger and more confident that I can beat this. Wed. I'll be increased to 100mgs. I hope that will help with the cravings. This New Year's eve will certainly be different will not be going to the party we go to every year plan to do something family oriented. It will be nice waking up with out a hangover. Peace everyone and Happy New Year. I am very much looking forward to this year.

I ALSO AM GLAD I WON'T BE TRASHED ON EVERYTHING THIS NEW YEARS EVE AND HURTIN NEW YEARS DAY. I AM GLAD I AM ON METHADONE AND THANK GOD I HAVE MY LIFE BACK. TOMORROW I HIT THE CLINIC AT 5 AM LIKE USUAL . I GET MY 4 TAKE HOMES EVERY WEDNESDAY, SO ITS NICE TO HAVE A 4 DAY BREAK FROM DRIVING TO THE CLINIC. THE CLINIC I GO TO IS IN NH AND IS A VERY NICE PLACE. HAPPY HOLIDAYS...
