Is it true Methadone is not Available in some states?

I just read methadone treatment is not even available in 6 states. This appears to be wrong according to some members of the forum so here's 3 that are left of the original 6 -- Idaho, Mississippi, Montana, The others that were on the list are underlined below.

Is this true? if so , what ashame knowing some people are having to travel out of state or move to get treatment or even worst, not getting treatment at all.

EDIT Mark these off the list North Dakota, South Dakota and West Virginia This leaves it at 3 and I think someone around here wrote Mississippi has clinics as well but I'll have to find it in one of the posts.

Wow that is crazy! I hope that its not true and maybe just a misprint? I doubt it though huh> And i feel for those also that have to probably travel out of state to get it. And chances are most dont even know about it because it isnt available to them in there town. That is sad, because it could probably, most definantly be helping hundreds,thousands of people that are destroying there lives with drugs because they dont have the option for MMT...

Yes...Both dakotas Montana and Wyoming...4 states left that do not allow,it is against the law to have them...so sad...and they wonder why their having such a prob with speed and pain pill abuse....hmmmmmmmmm

They do have clinics in West Virginia. I live in Tennessee and drive 65 miles to a clinic in Virginia, this is the closest one to me and my counsler works at a clinic in West Virginia. My clinic is only about thirty minutes from W.V..

I have several friends that attend the clinic in MS. I almost went to it but the clinic I went to in AL was closer for me. The name of the clinic is ALTR. Here is the address and phone number for anyone in the Mississippi area that might need the information. It has only been open for a few years, ( like 3 or 4).
